Privacy policy
SportApply is run by Corunna Developers Pty Ltd. This policy explains how we handle personal information under the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
- Employers: your name, business details, ABN, email address and the ads you post, with any logo, and any photo you give us for an ad’s social media post (and when you said you’re responsible for it).
- Job seekers: your name, email address, phone number, the note you write, and what you send with it that the ad asks for (such as your CV, cover letter, selection criteria responses, certificates or a video).
- Everyone: a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address, to stop spam and abuse. We don't keep the address itself.
How we use it
We send a job seeker's application only to the employer they chose. We email the job seeker a link to see where their application is up to, and the employer's updates about it, such as being shortlisted. We use the hashed IP address to limit how often forms can be sent, and Cloudflare Turnstile to check visitors aren't robots.
Where it's kept
With our hosting provider, Supabase, in Sydney. Emails are sent through Resend. Social media posts are published on Facebook and Instagram (Meta), which keep their own copies under their own privacy policies. SportApply AI runs on Anthropic, in the United States (see below).
If you use SportApply AI
When you ask SportApply AI to fill in an ad from a position description, your browser reads the document and we send Anthropic, which runs it for us, the document's text and file name, the notes you type, and the categories and sports an ad can have. We don't keep the document or its text. We keep a record of each request (who asked, for which ad, when and what it cost), and keep the file name and notes for 30 days to stop misuse, then delete them. Please don't add documents with other people's personal details in them, such as a current staff member's.
Photos in social media posts
- When we approve a paid ad, we may share it on SportApply’s social media, as our terms explain. Its post shows the ad’s details, its logo and any photo the advertiser gave us for it.
- A photo stays private until we’ve checked it, before the ad is approved. We don’t use a photo that isn’t suitable, and we delete it.
- We keep a photo with its ad for as long as we keep the ad, and its posts stay up after the ad ends, saying when applications closed.
- Anyone who can be recognised in a photo can ask us to take its post down: the advertiser through Ask for a change on their ads page, or anyone by emailing [email protected].
- When an advertiser deletes their account, we delete their photos and take their ads’ posts down.
How long we keep it
Applications and the files sent with them are deleted 12 months after the job's ad ends. If you withdraw your application, the files you sent, your note and phone number are deleted straight away.
